I was scared that most painters would just slap on some paint and leave and this room needed so much more than that. <br /> I grew up in the same house that I live in now and my house is about a hundred years old!  When the room was finished,it looked so smooth and just beautiful. It doesn't look like the same room anymore. He worked with us during the whole thing and told us what he was doing step by step.
