Called Wednesday and had brand new AC running that Saturday morning. Weekend before Memorial day. Professional, clean, quick installation. Good price and generous terms. Top notch all around. Looking forward to them finishing heater install at their convenience, as we agreed.

Project: Home Energy Audit
Things went well with Ram Services, despite one minor exception I encountered; my pilot light on my water heater going out the next day. I gather that this was caused from the blower door during their inspection.

The auditor was very thorough and efficient. I learned a great deal about problems in the house that need attention. My expectation was that I would receive a written energy audit separate from the repair estimates that I received at the end of the audit. That written audit has not yet arrived. I looked into the repair costs for the proposed estimates, and found several that were grossly overpriced. For example, the blown in cellulose insulation for the attic was $2475. I completed the installation for $250 using fiberglass batts, and my own labor. Even with labor costs, the job would have been far less than $2475.
Comment from Ram Services, Inc.
Using batt type insulation is not how it should be done. We blow in celulose type which fills the voids between all cracks. Also the most important part would have been the air sealing which has to be done first. These are ENERGY STAR standards.
