ProMark completed our exterior painting job at a very competitive price, and Tom and his crew were hard-working and highly skilled, however we ran into several issues during the job. Tom made errors in the quote for our job and basically underbid for the work he promised us, and then he asked for more money later on when he realized his mistake. We felt this was unfair, and, since it was his mistake not ours (he agreed to do more work than he originally quoted but forgot to adjust his price), we refused to pay the difference. There were also some quality issues with the job -- the house was not thoroughly washed as promised in writing in his bid, there were cigarette butts, coffee cups, and trash left around the job site, and they made an error in the color for our deck. We also had issues contacting him in order to get the job scheduled. We agreed to the price/job on May 11th and I had to send him a total of 4 emails and leave 3 voicemails to get him to contact me to schedule the job. They finally started the job in mid-June. While I understand the weather was a factor in terms of when he was able to start the job, I felt his communication was inadequate, and I was unhappy that it took so long to get a response from him. However, the job was completely quickly once they got going, and Tom and his crew were efficient and dedicated to the job. We were pleased with the outcome of the project, but feel that some of these other issues detracted from our overall satisfaction with ProMark.
