All work except painting was excellent. Crew leader went beyond the norm to make it right given the problems encountered.

Project: Remodel a Kitchen

Very organized process worked very well for out Kitchen Remodel. We met with the design specialist first, then project manager came and went over everything that was to be done. Once, the work started the work area was sectioned off by plastic sheets at the doors to contain dust and debris. Also, daily clean-up was done well and anything left in the work area was consolidated. This was particularly good since we have an asthmatic cat that actually had no problems during the entire project. We will probably contract again with PWHI to do a 1/2 bath and ask for the same two workers.

Project: Remodel a Kitchen

The salesperson I met with was extremely nice. Came by with a computer and showed me what the kitchen remodel would look like. The person who came out to measure was not very nice and was initially not very accommodating. When told where I lived, they exclaimed " That's pretty far away!" I took a long time to get the measurements done. The guy who actually came out to do the work was great. He did a great job and came back on his own to do touch ups.

Project: Remodel a Bathroom

The workmanship is ok but not great. The workers did not have the proper equipment for cutting large tiles so the cut edges are not straight in some areas. The sliding glass doors that they installed were not level and could not close properly so we had to hire another contractor to re-install. The project manager was very hands-off and not very helpful during the project.

Very good contractor for small home improvements (Porch Addition). Owner (Ryan) stayed involved, on-site team were clean and organized, couple of minor communication issues, performed on schedule. No problems with the finished product. All in price was honored, no extras.

Project: Build or Replace a Deck or Non-Masonry Porch

I replaced my wood deck with composite materials. A few adjustments in the original contract were needed as a result of the homeowner's association, county codes and the need to move the heat pump. These were resolved in a satisfactory manner. The work was done in a professional manner within a reasonable time and I am completely satisfied with the finished deck.

I do not recommend Prince William Home Improvement. I have had terrible customer service. It all started with the fancy salesman that promised if we had any problems throughout the process all we had to do was to call the office. NOT the case. There were communication problems from the start of the project. I do not have enough room here to write about all the problems I encountered. But at this point I have water leaking in and wet drywall due to the construction of the deck (they removed siding) and I have been working on a resoluton for 7 days and no response. I would suggest you look elsewhere especially if you do not speak Spanish.
