Typically the only work I contract out is HVAC and garage doors. When I have to, I seek out other professionals to help me complete my projects on time and on budget. I have numerous contractors I deal with from time to time including masonary professionals. I originally called them on this project. To a man they told me it couldn't be done. They said the only way to replace such a large lintel was to remove all the brick above it to the roofline. <br />Ryan was the only one who was positive he could do what I was asking. His quote, "I do it all the time". <br />There were some difficulties with the actual removal of the old lintel due to the fact the original builder had not installed it corredtly and the problem had been ignored for so long but we worked through them. The final result is as near perfect as one could ask for on a house built in the early 70's. The mortar is a perfect match and  the end result is what every home owner hopes for," you can't even tell it was repaired". <br /> <br />I have been doing most of my own work nearly all of my working life. This is largly due to the fact that when it comes to my projects I am a perfectionist. I am not just particular I want it perfect! I believe your work is a reflection of who you are. <br /> <br />I found the same attention to detail and desire for perfection in Ryan and his crew. It is truly refreshing to find some in the younger generations, ( and face it brick work is a young mans job), that take pride in their work. <br /> <br />GREAT JOB!
