I have read great reviews about this company which is the reason why I chose them to work on my garage door. However, when the technician came he treaded dirt on my carpet when walking downstairs to my garage (usually other contractors/technicians hired wear those blue plastic booties). He tried opening the garage door but it was stuck and needed help. He asked me to pull the garage door forward a bit so that it can open and not hit the top of the garage which was blocking the opening passage. (What would he do if I was not there??) He quoted 3 different level of prices and stated that it would cost $287 not including tax for the spring and cable and that would be the quick fix. The service charge is $69 and is suppose to be waived if the job cost more than $100. I had printed out a coupon from Precision Door thru Service Magic and the coupon stated $25 off for garage door repair for 1st time customers (which I was). The technician stated that he would either waive the $69 service fee or give me the $25 discount but not both. What??!!! I should have been eligible for both since the coupon was for first time customers and it did not mention any such restrictions. This overall experience has left me with a bad impression towards this company since they did not honor their own coupon, did not bring the necessary equipment (had to use our ladder) to work on the job and quoted 3 different prices ranging from $287 to fix a broken spring and cable up to $600 for additional services (wheels etc). I would not recommend this company to others based on this experience.
