City: Wexford Project: Brick or Stone - Tuck-pointing We had Clarke do some tuck pointing on our 20 year old house.  Nothing major, but we wanted the work to match as closely as possible the style and the color of the mortar already in place.… Read Complete Rating We had Clarke do some tuck pointing on our 20 year old house.  Nothing major, but we wanted the work to match as closely as possible the style and the color of the mortar already in place.  Clarke followed up on our initial inquiry quickly and provided a verbal estimate.  He then set a date and actually did what he said he would do -- something of a rarity with contractors these days.  The quality of the work was quite good.  My only complaint is that we had a minor disagreement on the price of the job (a $100 difference).  We got that worked out but I'd recommend that you get the price in writing in advance.  Good advice for any contractor.
