Called to have frozen water pipe thawed. Service man came and cleared pipe but removed the insulation from half the water pipe and did not tell anyone. I was charged $225.00. Pipe was left like this and less than one week later, pipe froze again.

I told the customer that the insulation(removed to thaw line) was off the piping and the heat tape was not working.The insulation was left off so they could replace the tape.The heat tape was the reason that the pipe froze in the first place.And that it should be replaced(the heat tape)so it would not freeze again. I gave them the choice to have us do it or for them do it themselves in order to save them money.It would have been an added cost to make the pipes freeze-proof.If I remember there were some young adult men in the home that was capable to do it in order to save cash.I guess they didn't do it in time.Therefore were not at fault.
