Par is a very cordial and contractor with good ideas but has not trained his hired help very well.  I realize it is difficult to find good help these days but a contractor should have someone who trains and supervises the help on site if he is too busy to do that.  As a result the homeowner is constantly having to provide feedback on the quality of work which often had to be fixed. Also, communications with the home owner were spotty.  There were days when he said the crew would be here and they didn't come, or they came when I didn't know they  would be here.  On the plus side, Par was very willing to have his crew fix things or even do it himself at the end.

I would recommend Par Widlund with reservations.  Par started our 3 week project at the end of Dec. 2006.  He was professional, timely and his work was very well done.  However, he did not finish this 3 week project until April of 2007.  His business boomed and our job took backseat and eventually was finished by people he hired who did not do the quality of work that Par began.  I would recommend Par but not the people that he hired to finish our job.
