Designing a satisfying Environment..............is our #1 requirement!
P' in E' Landscape Planning has been serving the local area for over ten years, but owner designer Paul Smith has been in the business virtually all his life. Paul was brought to this area when he was awarded the task of directing the creation of the landscape design specifications for the Duke (Duke Farms & Gardens) property in Hillsborough, a 2,700 acre environmental/horticultural facility and tour garden and former home of Doris Duke! Paul received his education from Cook College in the Horticultural/Plant Sciences and Landscape Design at Rutgers University, graduating suma-cum-laude. Give P' in E' Landscape Planning a call today for a free consultation and put us to the test!
The initial step to create an outdoor environment is to consult a professional planner/ designer. Looking for a unique process and an unbiased approach to creating the environment you seek? Being strictly a planning and designing firm, P’ In E’ offers that unbiased approach. P’ In E’ insists every landscape design created is the work of the client. The designer is simply the catalyst to assimilate ideas to develop a cohesive functional plan.
Selecting a professional designer from P’ IN E’ starts with the free initial consultation. Working together must be a pleasant experience with good chemistry between the designer and client. P' In E' asserts that you’ll be please with our professionalism. Set up a free appointment to find out for yourself.
Once the client signs an agreement P’ In E’ goes to work preparing a plan. Using Auto-CAD Imaging we take the owners ideas and meld them with our knowledge and experience to create a professional design tailored to the clients taste. Meeting with the client again, the plan will be modified until it’s approved and accepted by the owners. This time consuming process is a necessity. Quality designed environments are not created over night. It’s a process that will ensure the client receives what they truly desire. Pro-Images are available and are used to depict what the designer is conveying. These 3D computer generated images are a great visualization tool.
Once accepted the plans become the property of the client. Having a ‘Master Plan’ prepared allows for competitive bidding in which all the bidders are providing prices for the same plan, comparing apples to apples as they say. This process usually drives quotes down as contractors know they are being competitively bid against. Most important, most contractors will refund the upfront design fees when they’re awarded the project because they’ve been saved the time of having to prepare one themselves.

We have not finished working with Paul but so far, we have found him very approachable, courteous and open to our suggestions , has no fear of disagreeing if our sights for improvements are tough or ridiculous.

He did good work. It was a very big job, so it took a little while, but all in all he did very well.
Comment from P' IN E' Landscape Planning
This was a $350,000 landscape that I oversaw and managed from start to finish hence the clients comments about it taking a while. It was a very exciting experience working with these wonderful clients.
