Matt installed an active system at my house. I thought I had a passive system until he discovered that the bonehead builders embedded the vent pipe right into the basement foundation. Matt had to drill a new hole in the slab and redirect the vent pipe to it. Price was very reasonable, good workmanship, punctual, and clean.

Had no experience with radon mitigation companies, initially. Did some research, contact Next Step Environmental, asked a lot of questions. Matt walked me step by step over the phone analyzing the passive radon pipe installed in my house and we took it from there. Checked his credentials after he arrived, he told me what he would do step by step before he started, and by the time he finished, he had convinced me that I would get the results I was looking for. From 8.0 pci/L to 0.4 pci/L. Needless to say, I'm quite satisfied. Ask for Matt for your radon mitigation installation. He is a true professional.

A little bit of a mess left behind (a few odds and ends of material) but generally good work. Also didn't clearly spell (at least ot me) how i was supposed to start the new radon test. Almost caused us to miss a settlement desdline. They did make a big effort to get the test results out of the lab quickly and the results were available for settlement. Lowered from 4.1 to 0.3, well under the 4 max.
