New Vision Custom Builders

Took a little longer than projected, but did a good job

We hired New Vision to do a laundry room renovation, which was to take 1 month. Using your hard earned dollars to update your home should feel satisfying but this was a miserable experience. Mike Edwards owner of New Vision Custom Builders was by far the worst contractor we've ever worked with. As the project progressed his lack of professionalism & communication with us & his subcontractors was evident & resulted in several unnecessary delays. This 1 month project took 3 months to complete. We highly encourage anyone considering a general contractor to go with a full service company with dedicated employees & not just a project manager.

Unfortunately once in awhile in construction things do take longer than expected. It is too bad that these comments have been made. When asked, the homeowner did comment that they were happy with the results. That is the satisfaction that I am looking for as a General Contractor.

Mike does great work.

Although this catagory is "Vinyl siding install" New Vision actually did Stucco. We are very pleased with the stucco and have received a number of favorable comments on how nice the house looks since New Vision did the work.

The team was very personable and polite.

We decided to use New Vision for our remodel. (We were turning a loft area into a bedroom) I honestly feel New Vision's saving grace are the sub-contractors they use....except for the plumber, who happens to be the son of the owner. our project finished three weeks after schedule, and there were at least three times when the plumber did not show up at all after I was given a time that he would eb there. We were never given an apology or a call telling us he would not be able to make it. The other sub-contractors were very professional and easy to work with. Honestly, I wish I could have just hired them individually... Except the plumber!

They were very diffucult to work with as far as gaining access to the home. We were only able to gain access at their convenience. They did not give a garage code or key as my other client's have. My painters had to wait almost a week to paint because she did not want them in the house until a certain date. Very unfair rating for such a great job. Mike Edwards NewVision Custom Builders

Our experience with New Vision Custom building was a good one. Work began on time and was completed on schedule. We did have some expected cost increases during the project: some were because of changes that I made; some were costs I was prepared for by Mike such as the possibility of poor soil conditions requiring extra excavation work. Overall, we are pleased with the remodel and the addition New Vision Custom Builders did for us.

We are very happy with our addition. It is all we wanted and more. Mike had great vision and from a very basic drawing on a piece of paper, made what we had wanted in our heads. The project was on schedule the whole time and came in on budget. What more can you ask for from a contractor?? We have had bad luck with contractors many times before and could not be happier that this was so easy. This addition is built stronger and better than our original house and Mike backs up all of the work so there is no worrys on our part.

I would recommend them to a friend.
