Mr. Smith's estimate was higher than the insurance company adjustment for less work.  I agreed to pay it based on an expectation of excellent work.  Tthe work was not excellent.  The repair is noticeable due to uneven application of the popcorn texture on the ceiling and the repaired area is not the same color as the rest of the ceiling. Furthermore, the crew broke a portion of a one-of-a-kind chandelier, which is part of a set that we have owned for 22 years.  He promised to get it fixed but has not returned.  I already paid half of what we agreed on but this does not cover the chandelier.  I have not heard from him since 6/22/08.

HORRIBLE. Mr. Smith's carpentry skills are atrocious and leaves much to be desired. He was hired to tweak & place trim around a previously hung set of French doors. The trim had 2 sides A & B. He put side A on 5 sides and B on 1. There were decorative blocks on the bottom of trim he cut right block because he didn't want to remove baseboard in order for door to be uniform so the left block was 1/3

I called Mr Smith over the weekend and advised him of exactly what I needed done. He gave me a price over the phone and I paid the same amount when the job was finished. Whenever me or my husband had a concern he was very patient with explaining what he was doing and making sure we were happy with the work. He arrived as he said and didn't nickel and dime us for anything extra. We will be using Mr Smith's Home Repair for more jobs we need done around the house. I truly love my doors and feel as though it has made a dramatic change in home.
