Mr. Handyman of Lincoln

Spoke with the handyman prior to his visit, told him I would not be there, so I was very specific about what needed done (gutter repairs.) He told me charges, I agreed. On arrival, hit my wife up for a "trip" fee he did not tell me about, and did not perform all the repairs I told him to -- asked my wife what needed done - she didn't have a clue. After my initial rating, received an email from them asking why I rated them so low. I emailed them back the reasons above. They asked if I would like them to return at no charge and complete the repairs that should have been done. I said yes, that would be nice. Two weeks later... nothing.

I understand when a project has to be reschedule because of the weather. Mine took several times. I am very dissapointed with the work. It looks awful. I am going to have to have it re done but not with this company. I am not paying for this poor job either. Bad job.

I inspected the work completed by my Technician and found the work to be unacceptable. I called the customer several times and was finally able to speak with the customer. Per the customer’s request I hand delivered a contract outlining exactly what would be performed to return her deck to an acceptable condition. My company would incur significant additional expense correcting the problem. The customer has paid nothing, believes she owes nothing yet wants her deck fixed. This customer is not being reasonable and as is unwilling to work with me to resolve the issue at hand. There is nothing else that my company can do at this time.

Mike Smith was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. His assistant (Steve) was not so. His workday started whenever he got out of his truck and he walked out at 4:00 with no prior notice to Mike. This left Mike to clean things up and apologize for Steve. Also I was surprised that no supervisor checked on the work even though the work lasted all week.

As the owner of the company, I appriciate the feedback recieved. I was kept well informed by the service technicians on the daily progress however the customer is exactly correct, I will in the future check on all jobs on a daily basis to ensure everything is progressing as expected and reported. Arrived right on time..very polite courteous and clean..very good job..the install did go over in time and price ..quoted 1hr and 15 min took 2 hours..it helped having a coupon

very up front. did what i asked in less time than expected.very nice guys to have on my property. will call again when i have a project i need help with.thank you.
