Service rep came out and didn't even remove my drop-in oven to determine the problem. All they did was ask what error code I was getting. I told him the code and he said that I needed a new oven because that code means that the circuit panel was bad and they no longer manufactured replacements. He charged me $89 plus tax for the visit. The problem I have is that I had already provided this information over the phone and they should have told me this rather than made $89 off of me for doing nothing. Seems they just wanted to make a quick buck.

Although profits are important to any business we are focused on customer service and our main job is to repair appliances. Customer did state he had an error code without specifying which one and also stated his sensor was defective. We explained our trip charge to the customer plus parts and labor. Technician found during his diagnostic that the sensor was not the problem and unfortunately for the customer the defective board is no longer available nor the part being rebuilt. We do apologize for the inconvenience we caused you.

Project: Repair or Service an Appliance
The job got done but not without problems. The serviceman arrived with the wrong model # and wrong part and couldn't fix the oven. I had to pay for him to do nothing! I called to arrange for him to come back with the right part but needed a morning appt. He arrived in the afternoon!!! He had absolutely no personality to deal with customers. He just didn't care....and was confused when he couldn't find the paper to give me a receipt. I made a copy and gave him the original. Not a way to run a business.

Soon afer this service call this technician was terminated as his conduct and attitude did not align with our company's standard operating procedure. We offered the customer an apology, free of charge service and rectified the problem. Customer accepted our restitution gladly and will keep us in mind for future appliance services.

These guys were great in providing me with same day service for my refrigerator repair. They saved the day as I had guests coming and could not be without a refrigerator! They fit me in their schedule, they had the part with them, and they completed the repair in less than 20 minutes. I would definitely use them again.

Project: Repair or Service an Appliance
I got a call from Morris County Applicance Service in response to my request to repair my Kitchenaid dishwasher. I was explained that their service charge is $95.00 + tax, but did not included any parts if it's needed. They sent someone right away, and gave me a diagnosis that the machine needed a new motor which he did not have on the truck. Later on, we were informed the new motor costs $198.00 and the labor charge is another $95.00. The person who diagnosed the problem was literally in our house less than 3 min. & this company wants to charge us additional charges?? This is unheard of !
Comment from Morris County Appliance Service, Inc.
As you agreed, all charges were explained to you prior to our visit. The service charge covers the expense of having a technician go out to your home and spending time diagnosing a unit. Some diagnostics are more complex then others and in your case the technician due to his expertise was familiar with your unit's problem. Parts and labor are an additional cost. However, we do apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you.
