Morris Architecture, LLC, founding Principal Robert “Buz” Morris approached the architectural profession with a unique perspective: the perspective of a builder with a passion for superior design, aesthetic appeal, flow and quality. With exposure to every element of the new build process, I quickly learned the value of having a committed architect manage the full scope of a project, and most importantly, I recognized the need for a fluid architect/builder relationship. This experience prompted me to pursue a career in architecture. Educated in North and South Carolina, I won a prestigious design competition, awarding me an internship in New York with the esteemed firm, Gwathmey Siegel. Training directly under Charles Gwathmey, I had the opportunity to work on some of the most prominent buildings in New York, including the 256,000 square foot New York Public Library. With deep South Carolina roots, solid experience and a strong philosophy.
