For our kitchen addition project everything was completed in a timely manner. An on-site supervisor started the project followed by competent subcontractors. Implementation was very good and we are very happy with the new kitchen. One suggestion: don't have a customer contract that precludes me from talking directly to a subcontractor. This is very awkward. When a subcontractor is doing something and I want to ask a question or suggest something I'd like to be able to have a conversation at that moment with the person doing the work - not call Modern Homes to track down my official contact. Thanks for a job well-done.

Thank you for the feedback. Although we realize it may be a bit inconvenient; the reason that we like to have most contact go through our office is that if a homeowner tells a sub-contractor to do something directly and we are not informed about it and then the sub-contractor doesn't do it or does it incorrectly then we are not able to control the process and be sure it gets done. We like to make sure that we are in control as much as possible so everything goes smoothly.

They were a great company with great people to work with. They covered all their bases before even giving us a quote which is why I believe they were able to stay on budget. It ended up costing a little more only because we decided to add a few things along the way. The project took a little longer than anticipated but we were still impressed with how quickly things got finished. They scheduled everything well so there was almost always someone here working. Great communication as well. I would highly recommend this company.

Modern responded within minutes of our Service Magic request. They were out in a couple of days. Our bathroom remodel job is complete. Modern Homes was very price competitive and they did great work. We have already referred friends to Modern.

From beginning to end, Modern Homes staff/contractors were very professional, friendly, and available. We needed alot of extra assistance since we were not always available during the remodeling and they went above and beyond to acquire permits, talk to service contractors, problem solve and shop for lighting/accessories as needed. When we had a small water issue with a neighbor, Brian was even available on a Sunday to receive the phone call and took time to fix the problem until we could get up to the house a few days later. An excellent customer service experience, incredible design/interior decorating staff and fantastic craftsmanship!

The overall experience with Modern Home Builders was very good. The carpentry and workmanship were well done and the sub contractors all were professional. The only problem we had, was with their painter. He did NOT do a quality job and was "stingy" with the amount of paint used, subsequently there are places where the paint is too thin and you can see breakthrough. He was allowed to correct the problem, but still not up to par. But overall, Modern Homes is a quality reputable company. Although we have yet to go through the winter, I am confident the windows are top quality.

Quality was great. No surprises with cost after the job was done. Overall, we we very happy.

They were amazing. They listened to all of our concerns and desires for the project prior to commencement. Then, as the project moved forward, they were helpful, nice and accommodating. Our project is not finished yet, but so far it looks wonderful. This was a wonderful process and Beth was a dream to work with.

During the first week of our project, the builder put a bathtub in the second story that we did not pick out. They said that we could pay to have it removed. There was a hole in the tarp of the roof which let water into our master bedroom, and damaged furniture as well as the hardwood floor. They forgot to turn the power on at the end of a work day so our sump pump was not running.. They had disabled our battery back-up. It rained and our basement flooded. They then claimed that it was an act of God and therefore not their responsibility. Communication was a constant problem. They did not want to let us - the homeowner- have any say or control over what went into our home. We are not unhappy with the quality of the work done, but we believe the business ethics were questionable.

Modern Homes Inc. started the project ahead of schedule and ended it ahead of schedule. The project was completed in a timely and business like fashion. All of the sub contractors did a very good job. The materials used met or exceeded our expectations. I would recommend Modern Homes Inc, for any new construction or additions and remodeling projects.
