Out of three contractors that came by, they had the ONLY guy to actually take the unit out and examine it and then make calls about replacing it, which enabled me to make a better decision about what to do next. Their rep also sat down and helped me work out how to best pay for the new unit. The only things negative were that the installer tore out and damaged the narrow boards in the door sill of the furnace "cupboard" [I'll have to patch, seal and repaint] and installed the filter upside down.

I only wanted an inspection and suggestions on ways to cut my heating costs. He was very thorough, and checked my heater, and answered my questions. He even replaced the batteries on my thermostat. He let me know the pros and cons of the heating units I had, and I felt very good about his advice.
