How We Got Started
I chose to work in this industry because My father was a master plumber.I love working in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs because this is my home town. Born and rised, where my entire family (4 brothers) all became master plumbers that transcends into several generations. We are a full service plumbing contractor, performing all phases of plumbing including underground water and sewer, associated taps, interior building sanitary, rough in, finish and trim. We are family owned and operated with 50 years of experience. In addition, we specialize in vintage and high end plumbing projects for those who demand not only superior plumbing/engineering knowledge but also a creative/esthetic touch..We started in this industry in 1960.We describe our business as Family owned and operated

Jerry was given several projects from borken traps in a ladies washroom to new plumbing for a second floor washroom. His work was timly, neet, and he was professional in his business transactions. I highly recommend Jerry.

They may be great with plumbing but not fixing the gas portion of a water boiler, not so. They had to call in another service, wasted the whole day for a relatively simple fix.

They were on time and had all the necessary parts to complete the job. They were thorough, cleaned up when they were done and I felt that the price was pretty fair.

Project: Install Plumbing in a Remodel or Addition
McAvoy's work was very thorough, and they were knowledgeable. The charge was $375 for them to come over and run a camera through our pipes. I thought this was a bit steep, but we went ahead with it. Once they were there, they found that our main sewer line was clogged, so they charged us $350 extra to run a router through the pipe. They made it ten feet and couldn't go any further. So we paid $725 total for cameras and ten feet of routing, which does not seem like a good value to me. I think this McAvoy is a good contractor overall, but I believe they overcharged us in this situation.

Not always easy to get a hold of, but always returned my calls, and were very easy and flexible to work with. They took care of the problem quickly.
