Project: Install Concrete Patios, Walks and Steps
The reason this isn't a 5 star rating is because of the clean-up work I had to do to the lawn during the project and the fact the concrete sub-surface was not as specified by the county inspector. There was a lot of oversight needed on my part.

The Contractor was thorough in his explanation of what was needed and what he would do. Very personable and friendly as was his crew. They also worked very fast completing the job faster than I had anticipated. Very high quality installation at a very reasonable price. I would gladly use MARQUEZ CONSTRUCTION again

Marquez and Son did a great job with my garage tear out and replace project. He was very responsive to my calls with questions, started and finished the project when he said he would and did a great job.

These guys were real professional and courteous. They were very fair with their pricing and completed the job in just one day. I will use them for all my other concrete work. And recommend them to all.

Project: Install Concrete Patios, Walks and Steps
They built a beautiful back patio and walkway with rounded edges and an artisitc arc extending from the walk to the patio and garage entrance. Their demolition of the old roof and patio was quick and they removed all of the debris. The front patio step was an inch and a half higher than I expected. But it is well done and neighbors say it is nice. The cost was the same as the other bids. The workers worked extremely hard in 90+ degree weather. Mr. Marquez was personable and accomodating to any requests.

The contractor was very nice and polite, and we made a mistake in writing the check down wrong, and he was very good about meeting up with us to take the check back. It was really to trade the check so that we gave the right check.

We hired Marquez contruction to pour a drivewa and a stamped concrete patio in our backyard. The driveway turned out well and we have no complaints. However the stamped concrete patio has serious issues. It appears the color was not mixed in appropriately as there are MAJOR spots where the color is either darker or lighter as well as parts where there is no colored concrete at all only the gray concrete. When we contacted Gorge to let him know he said he would be out the next week, three weeks later with several calls, including from Service Magic and we haven't heard anything or seen him. I would not recommend Marquez Construction.

They replied to my email immediately and set up an appointment too meet. They were on time for our meeting and offerred a fair price for the job. They seemed honest and commited to doing a good job, I hired them to start lastThursday. They again were promt for their first time cleaning and did a very good job. (one of the best I have had) I hope they continue to do the same job in the future.
