Matt was extremely slow to return emails and phone calls, and late to show for on-site meetings. The painters, too, were erratic in when they showed up and when they left each day.  There was a great deal of confusion between Matt, the painters, and me.  This is a business that subcontracts the paint jobs -- limited control/influence over the paint crew.  I would never hire for skilled jobs again a company that does not employ directly their own labor.  Things did not get done as "promised", and the contract price was not honored -- until I refused to pay anything over the amount we agreed to in writing.  Job took much longer than estimated.  Job itself was adequate, but not as it should have been.  Would not use again nor recommend.

I chose Marathon Painting to repaint my 52 year old home. They were responsive to my request for an estimate and gave me detailed information as to what they would do to my home from the power washing to the final two coats on the trim. Weather did cause some delay but once they were able to start everything went smoothly and quickly over three days of actually painting.   I was especially impressed with the preparation that involved scraping, sanding and caulking wherever needed.  They used the peel-stop primer on all south walls of the house plus two coats of Premium Sherwin Williams latex paint.  Primer also was used wherever necessary in
