Mainstream Heating & Cooling

I was charged $680 for 1 hour of labor and freon. The part that needed to be replaced was under warranty, so the part didnt cost anything. I asked the technician what I was paying for since the part was under warranty and he just said "labor and freon". He didnt explain how much freon or how much freon cost, but it must be expensive since it only took about 45 mins for the repair. I called the company and asked for someone to explain what I was paying for and was told someone would call me back; they didn't. I wouldn't recommend Mainstream Heating and Cooling.

Please contact me with your details so I can confirm if the charges are appropriate and share the details. We have competitive flat rate pricing so there is not a difference in labor charge if the same work takes 30 minutes or 2 hours. Plus the price includes a 12 month performance guarantee warranty for the work performed. "Freon" depending on the kind can run from $25/lb to $200/lb. very impressed with competency and ethics of service personnel.

It was three digit hot, they were very busy but made time to come and repair my a/c unit at our lake house in less than two days so my family would have a cool home for vacation. They kept me informed of the progress and the problem until it was fixed. However there is a part they needed to replace under warranty for the heating feature of the heat pump to work and I have not heard back from them since July.

Extremely prompt and professional service. Would definitely use their service again.

The sales, service and installation crew at mainstream was excellent. I was very satisfied with the whole experience and they did excellent work. They were timely, fast , efficient, and very professional. The price was great and the total cost was right on with the estimate. I would highly recommend them in the future!!
