We have longstanding working relationships with a variety of excellent trade contractors. We provide design services to many of our clients, as well as expertise on compliance with the regulations of the Department of Buildings and other agencies.

Project: Remodel a Kitchen
Impressive from the first interaction to the last! MKD did a top-to-bottom renovation for a kitchen + cosmetic upgrades to a bathroom (flooring, vanity, mirror). Kent’s proposal was by far the most understandable and detailed, and his estimate was very reasonable. Most importantly, there were no surprises – the final balance was fairly close to the original estimate. Kent and his team made intelligent, helpful recommendations to maximize space while guiding us to budget-friendly materials befitting our goals…a huge-time saver for us. He delivered on-time, and exceeded expectations. We’ve already recommended them to several friends!

Project: Remodel a Kitchen
MKD Construction did an excellent job for us. They managed to renovate our kitchen within a very limited timeframe and budget. We are very pleased with the quality, professionalism, and flexibility of MKD. Its owner Kent Dunsmore is a pleasure to deal with. Very intelligent, with impeccable integrity. They have earned the highest recommendation, which we gladly give.

Project: Major Renovation - Multiple Rooms
Kent is wonderful to work with, and has an intelligent, thoughtful approach to the projects he takes on. He renovated a kitchen, and then completed a year-long apartment renovation for our family. His attention to detail, sense of humor and integrity made the experience a success! He and I, along with Dawn Falcone (DFLifestyles, a redesigner) worked together to design some of the renovation, and keep the overall project on schedule. He has experience working with NYC Co-ops, which is not easy in itself. He finds great Electrical, Plumbing, Glass, Flooring and Painting subcontractors. Over the year-long project I would come into the apartment unannounced numerous times to always find the guys focused and very committed to doing a great job. Kent will bring a sane, solid approach to a process that often can get out-of-hand!
