First of all, he was in such a hurry it was like he didn't want the job. He also tried to change the job and simplify it for him but it was not what we discussed and would make the wiring too visible. The drywall cut outs, especially in the ceiling were larger than necessary leaving an opening everyone can see, and the cutouts by the 2 switches broke the drywall so I had to patch it. He left the place a mess and he still owes me a dimmer switch that was part of the Contract. I failed a Code inspection because he didn't put a cap over the wall opening..something he should have known. Everything works but I will not hire him for my next larger job  installing ceiling lighting in the kitchen. Based on this last experience I would worry about him damaging the cabinets and leaving me a mess. He told me he came from a large cotractor business. He needs to learn that working in someone's house is a whole different experience and little things matter also.
