First let me say I emailed 3 plasters and Mike was the only one that contacted me and in a very short time peroid. As a matter of fact the same day. Upon meeting Mike from MJK he was a true professional. His work was excellent and neat. Clean up was superb and the price was way below I thought it would be for what we had done. He arrived when Mike said they would and the job was completed the time Mike said he would be done. Just before huricane Irene. I would definetly recomend him to anyone who needs plastering done.

I hired Mike at MJK less than a year ago. He did drywall and ceilings in 4 bedrooms. The work was fine (certainly a lot cheaper than other quotes I got). However, a dinner plate sized piece of plaster felll down from the ceiling in one room. After 4 calls (all went to voicemail) and 4-5 emails to Mike over the past 1.5 months, I still have not gotten a reply. I'd give zero stars for customer service, if I could!

Excellent service for a good price. MJK completed the job exactly as requested in less time than was initially thought. Mike and Joe were timely, friendly, did the work exactly as requested and left a very clean work area. These guys are great! Unqualified approval for this professional.

Project: Repair Plaster
Used Mike for 2 jobs now-1st to do a plaster skimcoat over rough horse hair plaster walls in our c. 1900 house & 2nd time to do blueboard/plaster layover of crumbling plaster/lath ceilings. Both times we were extremely satisfied with the job done, the price, and his professionalism. Shows up when he says he will, gets the work done in the time frame promised, & skimcoat is always smooth as glass. For balance, the plaster skim coat could've been a touch neater around some spots of the existing trim work, and debris could've been disposed of better. Minuscule critiques aside, we would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others.

Prompt, professional, clean and an excellent plasterer. Michael repaired and restored my sheetrock walls that were destroyed in the March floods. After he was done, you could not even tell there was any damage. I would highly recommend MJK.
