Overall we are very happy with MB Construction. Karen listened to what we wanted for the projects and gave us a price that beat all the rest. We ended up hiring them for additional projects around the house. For the average price that was quoted to us by different contractors for finishing the basement, MB was able to do the basement, put porcelain tile floor in the kitchen, two bathrooms, tile surround on the MB shower, crown molding on the living room and foyer. Quality of work is very professional. <br />They just need to improve on the communication during the project, thus the -0.5. I was interested in "green" building, and they are trying to develop a niche in that area. However, as the weeks continued things became more difficult. No one on the job site spoke English so I was constantly back and forth with the office staff so that they could translate my concerns to the workers. They made decisions about the building without my input and made sloppy mistakes that they still have not fixed despite a "guarantee". Much of the time they said "could not" when they meant "would not" unless I pushed it. End result - just ok. See All Ratings
