Project: Build an Addition
The job was to build a new deck where I previously removed the old one and replace the existing atrium door to the deck with a new slider. They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. However, I was a little disappointed in the detail for weather proofing as when the wind is strong I do have a draft in one corner of the door trim. The yard was was littered with metal, vinyl, and wood shavings from the saw used to cut the deck rail. I also found a handful of nails and screws in the yard around the deck. This could have been easier cleaned up or avoided if they had used a tarp in the work area. All other debris was removed.

Lee Dickerson and his team responded very promptly to our queries about basement remodeling. While he was not overly expressive about his ideas for the basement, he listened carefully to all of our ideas and implemented them precisely, efficiently, and at a great price! He provided us with updates almost every day and returned all of our phone calls in a very prompt manner. I truly enjoyed his straightforward manner and appreciated how quickly he and his team were able to complete our project. I would not hesitate hiring him again if we had another project we wanted to complete. Truly a fantastic contractor!

I'm very happy with the quality of the construction of my new deck. Honestly, I don't think it could be any better. He didn't change the layout of my deck like I had asked him to. I was led to believe that he understood exactly what I wanted, and he declined my offer of drawing a detalied picture of the changes. When the deck was in construction mode, and I brought up the fact that the changes that I asked for weren't made, I was told that, "...it is what it is." Also, actual cost exceeded estimate AND contracted amount due to an error that he made when investigating the cost of the railing - a mistake that cost me over $1000 extra.

Project: Remodel or Renovate One or More Rooms
Mr. Dickerson and son set up an appointment immediately, came two days later, and gave me ideas as to how to make what I want affordable and made recommendations to give more living space in the project I wanted to accomplish. He was very professional, and knew what he was talking about. Made me realize problems, instead of pushing for the business. I will call him again when I am ready to complete my project, or any other project I may take on. I am glad for a service such as servicemagic, it has been a wonderful experience.
