My name is Helen Kirby and I established Kirby Designs in 1992. My initial enthusiasm for beautiful and imaginative landscapes originated during my upbringing in England where we frequently visited the gardens of stately homes and castles. In America I aquired a degree in Horticulture, I studied and practiced most aspects of construction while installing gardens and obtained a contractor’s license. I built up Kirby Designs during the past 14 years from a small design-only business to a complete design/build company. We make a point of listening to the dreams of our customers and then using our expertise to make these dreams a reality. We make it a practice to never say, “You can’t have that because………!” If what you want is very difficult then we just think it out ‘till we have a solution and then work even harder! All of our hardscape is done “by the book”, and we use the best materials so that you will not be replacing parts or re-doing things next year. I will research the geography, climatology, soil and horticulture in the area of your new home; you send me some photos and some measurements and I will draw a design for your garden.
