Scott was very prompt, completed the quality work in a timely matter and offered extra help with chemicals.

Kevin didn't adequately bid the job, therefore many additional costs appeared. Some of his work is excellent (drywall, hardwood, sink/plumbing), but he can be condescending, doesn't clean up after himself & does NOT know how to prepare an invoice. Tiling is not something I would recommend Kain for. If you hire KC, make sure he sticks to the bid ~ shut-off valves he overlooked during an estimate should not be your $300 problem; ask for per-hour labor rates in advance; get everything in writing, including the timeline. I can't in good faith say that I would hire KC again, or recommend to anyone.

I am sorry this customer was unhappy with with me.The project had many changes that were all documented. I try to be professional at every turn and cannot understand the condscending comment. I have prepared invoices for government, commercial and residential projects for 35 years. This customer very good to me untill there was a changeorder concerning a rotted floor repair that was approved and completed, at which point the customer marked down my bill 1,300.00. The shut off valves were part of a faucet replacement where the sink faucet had to cut off to replace it. The customer did not pay for the parts or the labor (300.00) for the faucet.

Easy to work with. I decided to add some windows after the walls were in place. They handled it with no problems. Work site cleaned up after construction. I'm very happy with the addition.

Kain construction completed the design for our project and did a great job. We have decided to not complete the addition due to health issues but Kain construction was great!

My husband and I definately got burned by not doing more homeowork on this contractor. The residential bathroom remodel job is complete but not finished to our expectations at all. The ceramic tile floor/shower is anything but professionally done. The price we were quoted and paid did not match the service provided. Kain tried to fix the problems by sending out the same guy who screwed them up in the first place. We finally decided a 3rd try was not going to happen and we cut our losses. We had zero faith that it would have been done correctly. Kain Construction was horrible at communicating with the customer and within their workforce.

I am deeply saddened with this comment. I will admit that the supervision was lax. My father in law died at the time this project was going on, followed by two other family deaths. My head was NOT in the game. We tried to satisfy the customer, but as is stated above, they opted to not allow us to improve the project to meet their expectations. Of the many projects we have done, it is too bad that we cannot get comments on all the good ones. My offer to fix the problems stands. Kevin Kain

They went above and beyond even texturing a wall that was not on the schedule. Excellent job.

The project is not completed as of yet. I will complete this form when the work has been complete.As of May 10, 2006, the work is completed. I will have to have another professional to complete grout work in the main bathroom. The young man who was sent the first time was very inexperienced, and argumentative. Hours were inconsistent at best. My neighbors remarked he kept banker's hours. I had to keep after Kain construction to have work completed. I would not hire them. The last man they sent over, did a good job in fixing what the first man did.

We are sorry to say that this customer was not a very happy camper. We tried to solve the problems she told us about and finally made her as happy as we could after many return visits.
