Thanks to Mike for fixing my Theramdor microwave for only $200. I called Thermador we sent a service technician and not only misdiagnosed the problem as a broken magnetometer and transformer, but further stated that it would take two people to do labor. So the total cost started at $600. I was highly suspicious and called KH for 2nd opinion and indeed the problem was a blown diode (cost was $11.90). So Mike was able to fix the microwave by himself at cost of only $200.

Mike came at 9 am as scheduled, looked at my refrigerator, diagnosed the problem, and then said he would return late afternoon as he had to order the parts. He called later and gave two options on repairing the refrigerator as he said while he could test the temp sensor in the freezer, he could not test the timer board. He gave me two prices and said that in most cases it is only the temperature sensor. I went with both parts as I would lose more in the cost of spoiled food than the difference in cost of the parts. He came and installed the parts, re-programmed the temp sensor and recommended that I get a refrigerator thermometer. I will.

This was not a good experience at all. First, he was 45 minutes late for our first appointment (everyone has cell phones these days. If you are going to be late, fine. But you have no excuse for not calling). He then did not apologize for being late. As I just wanted my ice maker fixed, I decided to move forward. He seemingly diagnosed the problem as a bad sensor. I paid him for his diagnosis (which ultimately turned out to be wrong), and he left my house to later return with the part. He came back later to replace the part and in the process broke the device that flips out to block the sensor when the door is opened (but he neglected

Mike was prompt to respond and appears to know what he is doing. The Bosch washer needed a new motor (unbelievable at 5 yrs....)He ordered it and had it installed within one week. Not inexpensive and we hope it lasts a good long time. He is polite, tidy and we would call on him again for other needs.

He did a good job the first time around, rerouting an air vent for my dishwasher/sink disposal. However, the very next day I had leaking somewhere under my sink and the water was leaking out on to my hardwood floors. He came a few days later to fix that problem. It may have been coincidental, but it bothered me. He didn't want to charge me, but I insisted on paying anyway. Both problems are now fixed. He did a good job overall. He is very religious and left me a religious pamphlet. That was not professional or appropriate. I will use him in the future if I have similar appliance problems for my type of appliances (Miele and Bosch).

I received a phone call asking to set up an appointment almost immediately after submitting my request. He showed up on time, was quick to determine the issue and give me my options, and very professional. I would recommend KH Appliance.

Mike called within 30 seconds of my hitting the Send button to get a list of Pros. He came out to the Coastside the following day and was prompt, competent, efficient, courteous, and pleasant. He let me know my choices (repair old dryer or buy a new one), gave an estimate, and, the following day, quickly carried out the repair I chose. He explained what had happened and what might be likely to break down next. His fees and prices are very reasonable.
