Project: Repair Furniture
Jim performed very poor repairs. He attempted to grossly overhcarge for this work. upon seeing the work needed, he did not give us a good faith estimate, but rather spend 4 hours attempting to refinish some furniture then when he completed he announced he charges $150/hr...I laughed and said my attorney doesn't charge that much!! We agreed upon $260. He told us to leave his work alone for (2) days while the finishes "dried". after waiting the two days the work dried very poorly and is worse than it was. jim's work is poor, and by charging after with no mention of his rates i think violates consumer affairs rules. Is he licensed ????

I went on gut feelings after seeing Jim's work on line. He couldn't have been nicer and did a great job on our bathroom vanity. He went above and beyond to help us out with finding the best hinges for the 30 year old vanity. I highly recommend using Jim. EP from Holtsville

Jim came over to fix a platform bed -- needed a new support rail for the mattress board. I had spoken to him beforehand and he had an idea of what was required -- but not about the specifics and came prepared with the materials he thought would work. On the spot the material he brought was suitably modified and the repair was completed,
