J & J Tuckpointing

If you see cracks, spalling brick, crumbling or missing mortar, you need tuckpointing. Tuckpointing is a process by which the mortar joints between bricks are ground out with special tools and replaced. If necessary, individual bricks are also removed and replaced. Mortar joints and brick crack as a result of house settling, the freezing and thawing conditions found in Illinois, and/or constant exposure to moisture. uckpointing can prevent further damage to the surrounding brick as well as prevent leaking into your house.
