James was a true professional and pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him for any hardwood installation. He was not only very helpful in explaining his process and time frame but also was very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding me to select the flooring that best fit what I was looking to accomplish. If your looking for a contractor that does what he says he is going to do, and does it with prompt, professional service this is an individual you need to get in contact with. He'll even put in a new subfloor for you when the tear out reveals there was none! Thanks for everything James.

James installed a laminate floor for me in September 2011. Very professional and conscientous contractor. Will hire him for my next project.

James did a great job on my new laminate hardwood floor installation for my portrait studio. He explained the whole process to me, answered all of my questions in layman's terms, and was there when he said he would be there. My floor looks great, and I plan to have him come back to do some more work. Also, I felt completely comfortable having him in the house with me which is always a concern for me as a single woman.

I am no neophyte when it comes to remodeling/construction; my father was a contractor, I filled various capacities as crew over the years. Jame LoBello was my choice because he is very quietly knowledgeable with some very good cost-effective suggestions as well as recommendations of materials that we very much liked. James had to work around our schedule for weeks but he has been fantastic about it. We had a time crunch that he met despite the usual problems that crop up. He's a delight to work with, meticulous, and has done such a gorgeous job that we've decided to award him the next large project starting in January. Highly recommend!!

I can't recommend James nor would I hire him in the future. He had glowing references. I hired him to install an engineered wood floor with an oil finish over a slab. Very concerned with good prep I even paid more for extra care. While the scope of the project never changed & I paid him in full even though he had two trim pieces to install. He informed me that he wouldn't come back until he received more money & kept one of the trim pieces . I have spongey areas on the floor. Luckily I have a great contractor (that I found through svc magic) % he saved the day installing the trim. Update: negative: trim was returned after bad review.

In light of my professional reputation, I would like to comment on this review. I believe the client was disappointed in her product choice and blamed it on the installation. She monitored and approved the floor prep. She agreed in advance to pay for any extra wood used, and then refused to pay what was a relatively small amount. I returned the trim, which I had refinished at no additional cost, two weeks before this review was published. I didn’t notice any “spongy” areas, and I can only assume that the client is unfamiliar with floating floors. Please let me know if you have any questions.

So far so good. He has been very responsive and very thorough in his quote and what we'll need to do for the project. We are still waiting for our wood flooring to come in so the job has not ben completed yet.
