Project: Inspect, Analyze or Certify the Condition of a Roof

The person from J. D. Jones came to inspect the new roof. The problem was that the roofing company that put on the roof made a mistake in putting nails through the roof htat had missed the 6"X2" studs. This caused damage to the underside of the roof. The roofer that put in the roof stated that a mistake was made. Sinse I have very little knowledge about roof construction, I decided to contact a roof inspecter. The inspector from Jones company did not do a through inspection, only saw the areas that I hat I was aware of (the patio and inside the garage). He did not inspect around the house and said the work was "normal". There is more!

Sorry for any misunderstanding, The technician that inspected the roof issue has 35 yrs experience. Nails through the over hang is not suppose to happen, however it does once in a while this does not hurt the integrity of the roof. We checked the company that did the roof and they have been in business many years. We do not know the company personally but longevity says a lot. The roofing company in question was willing to clip the nail and paint the chipped wood. I hope they did what they said.

Professional, intelligent, courteous contractor. Employees removed old hips and ridge vents and installed new in 2 hours. Inspector said job looked properly installed (old was not). Price comparison-none. Only this contractor followed through to bid.

I phoned the Company on a Sat. And got a live person who took all my info. Then returned my call within 3 hrs. With an apt. For inspection. They arrived the next day and did a great job at a reasonable price. They were courteous and very professional. I highly recommend them and am pleased with the work.
