I chose to work in this industry because I enjoy physical activity, working with my hands, meeting new people, and the variety of jobs associated with this type of profession. I love working in Lee's Summit, Missouri because even though Lee's Summit has grown in recent years, I still love the small town feel it has. It's a wonderful town to live and work!.

• I am an active member of the Lee's Summit Optimist Club. Through this organization, we assist high school students with scholarships for college, award "Student of the Month" at all grade levels in our school district, and bring to light the achievements of some of our best students.
• I am also a member of New Summit Presbyterian Church and take part in various programs through my church that help to serve not only our local community, but the global community.
• I also donate my extra time to Hillcrest Ministries which offers a "hand up", not a "hand out" to the homeless in our city. I have organized workers to complete construction projects and spent many hours overseeing various labor intensive renovation of buildings to house homeless mothers and their children.
