Avoid getting stuck with a bad home by getting it inspected so you don't pay out of pocket later. You'd be surprised at how many of the routine home inspections we conduct around the Louisville area actually turn out to be "nightmares" for our customers! You see, our customers did it right - they hired an inspector to check out the property they were considering buying, and as a result, many of them were able to get the seller to pay for the repairs we uncovered during the home inspection process. As an inspector, it's my job to ensure you're not purchasing a home with lots of problems. If we do find problems, we outline these in a report that you'll be able to present to the seller. By presenting this report to the seller, it puts you in a better position to negotiate the repairs before purchasing; otherwise, you'll be the one coming out of pocket to pay for these repairs if not negotiated prior to buying.
