Project: Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring
We hired home floors based on reviews online even though we lived outside of Texas and had our property in Austin. Planning the work and then coming on site to see the finished work was an easy process. The cost was reasonable for a well done job. I would definitely recommend home floors to others.

Project: Install or Completely Replace Wood Flooring
Home Floors & Design created unnecessary toxic dust throughout my entire home by not using the proper 'industry accepted' equipment when grinding the thinset on the floor. They refused to take responsibility for clean-up and in my opinion hired non-professionals to do the job. I had to terminate the contract because I could not trust them to do a good job installing my floors. I definitely would not recommend anyone use this firm. They left me as a homeowner to pick up the pieces as far as having to hire someone to clean the HVAC, air ducts and wipe down walls before I can hire someone to paint. Not a way to run a business!

As in any construction project there is dust, which was stated in my contract. “The homeowner acknowledges that during construction and after there will be dust that has accumulated from the work and will be the sole responsibility of the homeowner to clean. Home Floors & Deigns is not responsible for extensive cleanup." I discussed this issue with her in person instructing her not to turn on any A/C or heating as it would distribute dust throughout the home. The dust was in no way toxic. I feel I was very fair in my resolution with the customer and was even willing to break a binding contract in order to refund the remainder of her money.

Excellent value. Chris from Home Floors & Design was very professional and effective at communicating. Some minor issues with the installation subcontractor on timeliness and cleanup are all that keep me from giving them five stars across the board. I would do the same deal again without hesitation.
