We sincerely appreciate your interest in our company. It was originally JBS painting in the early 80's as a "Moonlight" income, while the owner, Jeffrey Smedley, went to night school to become an accountant. As irony would have it, he grew to love the before/after of painting and all of it's creativity. Much to his dad's delight (ugh), and the bank that held the tuition note, he evolved into a self employed contractor. During the mid 90's JBS Painting became a union construction company that eventually became Mid Atlantic Technical Services. In order, to continue with his residential painting interest he continued on as High Performance Painting. Bottom line, we've been here for 20 years. Who Knew? As part of the natural growth that comes from experience, we recognized that consumers wanted to be able to feel comfortable and hopefully benefit from personal and experienced assistance, hence our policy of free color selection assistance on site, as well as the ability to rely on our lengthy past history when offering our 1 year unconditional warranty.
