Project: Refinish Wood Flooring
Mr. Houk did an unprofessional job on refinishing my floors. After I inspected his work, I found areas of the house with spots not coated with polyurethane, pools of the finish, and scratches throughout the floor and he used a high gloss instead of a semi-gloss finish. He redid it with the same results. These mistakes are obviously very noticeable. I called him Friday, August 12th and left a message to return my call. I never heard from him. I stopped payment on the check and still no response. I am going to have to pay another refinisher to correct his mistakes. How do I go about having his insurance pay for re-doing the floor?
