I chose to work in this industry because I love working with plants and having things built that I have designed..I love working in Greater Sacramento Four-county area because of all the wonderful people I meet..We started in this industry in 1976.We describe our business as Family owned and operated

Good work, but no follow-ups on how the project is going or how it looks after it finished to see if we are pleased etc. It was disappointing a little bit.

Harlan is incredibly professional and gracious. He seemed to really listen to my needs. Though he likely designs some very high end homes (and we have a modest home) he never made me feel as though my job was beneath him. An installer called him "the best landscape architect in Sacramento" and though my installation is not started yet, the plan looks gorgeous. I feel honored that I'm going to have a design by Harlan. He's a lovely, talented man.

Excellent experience with HDH Design Group. Harlan created a very comprehensive plan for our large backyard and we are very pleased. He listened carefully to all our ideas and the final plan incorporated all that plus much more. We felt fortunate to have found him and highly recommend his services.

We had a very positive experience. Harlan really captured our wish list, created a design that took advantage of our sloped backyard and view, and accounted for our need for shade. Of the four Landscape Architects/Designers that we interviewed for our project, Harlan is far-and-away the most sophisticated and professional. We would unconditionally recommend HDA Design Group.
