Had NW Natural Gas come out Sat. evening. Gas smell in the garage and house. Furance was coming on and off 5 or 6 times before it continued to run. One of the burners out the the 5 burners wasn't firing at all, so that is where the gas smell was coming from. Gas company cleaned burners and the burner was working. Gas company wasn't sure why the burners were switching off & on while the thermostat was still calling for heat. Need to investigate more.

The technician,Brian, isolated the problem quickly to the 'motherboard'/control board, and had to make a next day visit to order & change it out. The control board was still on warrenty, thank goodness
