I highly recommend Jerry Shin at Gila Mesa Builders. He kept every appointment and was on time, and his workers showed up when scheduled. That is unusual in this city. He solved many design decisions that always pop up. His crew chief, Cesar Zubia, is experienced and can help with color, paint, and tile. I recommend that you llisten to him. He came in with the best price out of four contractors. Jerry billed me weekly for work performed that week. DO NOT ever pay a contractor in advance. The overall experience was good; the job was completed on time and on budget.

They were friendly and very helpful. Everything was done within both the timeframe and the price range quoted. In some areas they went above and beyond to give me a quality outcome. There were things that we requested they redo however as we were not happy with the way it looked the first time. All such requests were handled readily and cheerfully. I am very pleased with my finished kitchen.

Gila Mesa built a guest house for us. It is absolutely gorgeous. Jerry, Cesar, and crews did a wonderful job. It came in on time and on budget. I can't wait to do the next project. Everything was super clean and lovely when finished. Definitely recommend them!

Jerry Shinn @ Gila Mesa Builders was very professional and I am so glad that I chose this company. When I decided on a hardwood floor for my master bedroom, Jerry made a few adjustments with the flooring subcontractor and was able to position the planks so that there would be enough wood to cover the length of the hallway leading to the bedroom. He used his professional judgment and the results were much greater than expected. He stays in communication until the job is complete. I would highly recommend this company.

They had a great price quote, great service, and did a great job. They were especially great at helping my wife and I take our ideas and make them a reality, showing us where what we wanted wouldn't work and helping us with alternatives that would. We plan on using them again for future projects.

My project involved a total kitchen remodel including tile for the living room, dining room, hallway, laundry room and main bathroom floor. The kitchen was the main reason I started the project. Because this room was within the interior of my house, there were no windows or skylights and it drove me crazy. Carlsbad Caverns is light filled next to the way my kitchen used to be. The four existing ceiling lights were inadequate and even at full blast, the kitchen was dark. Gila Mesa Builders came in, listened to my issues with the project, and assessed what could be done within my budget. I was impressed that owner Jerry Shinn

very unprofessional, only on time the first day, the contractor constantly complained about his "Mexican workers" to the wife but never said anything about them about being late or their substandard work; My wife was more a contractor,forman and quality control inspector than the contractor. The contractor expected us to except marginal work, "claiming the holes in the wall would be covered by the cabinets" The sheetrock/paint guy was so bad i finally told the contractor i did not want him back. I would never recommend this contractor!!
