The problem was his choice of a subcontractor <br />for demolition & foundation work. They were <br />sloppy, slow, & couldn't read a print. The <br />footing was placed 2'6" off the plot plan <br />location & was crooked! After calling Mr. <br />Esteves he personally took charge to minimize <br />the errors. I had very minor complaints with <br />the framing, roofing, siding and trim work. <br /> Overall the project is on schedule and is <br />awaiting final township inspection. One <br />problem, (foundation related), is with a <br />cement sidewalk on the side. Since the pour <br />was rushed the ground beneath the walkway has <br />seriously subsided after a couple rains. I <br />expect it to collapse in future. I will hold <br />out for corrective measures be taken by <br />Gardner construction, though no warranty is <br />implied in the contract.
