Randy and Brenda Newfield are fourth generation New Orleanians who, following Hurricane Katrina, wanted to expand their grass cutting business to something that would help meet the needs of our recovering city. From humble beginnings using Dad's lawn mower and edger, Randy and his bride Brenda have built a full service business that has helped bring back beauty to homes and businesses around the city. Fresh Cut Landscaping would like to help you with your landscaping project. Big or small, commercial or residential, we have the knowledge, experience, and crew members that will work with you from design to installation. Randy and staff were most friendly and courteous contractors we've been able to work with. Customer service was awesome! Our pave stone driveway installation looks spectacular and our irrigation system is a blessing! Would highly recommend them. Above and beyond service.Thanks

Project: Install Sod
They seemed professional at first but when the job was complete, I was disappointed. The quality of their sod is poor. Now, a few months later, my lawn looks horrible - with brown spots and like it's the old grass that's been there for years. Also, they quoted me a price and when they were putting the sod in, they missed some spots. When I called them back and asked to cover the entire lawn with sod as we had agreed, the owner (Randy, I think), said that he only bought a certain amount of sod with the money and if I wanted more sod, I had to pay extra. But the sod was not even on the entire lawn. They were skimping and it was unpleasant.
Comment from Fresh Cut Landscaping
This is completely False. The Sod came directly from the grower - which means - it was Freshly cut and delivered the same day. We recommended applying a post emergent to the sand/weed/old grass prior to adding more sand. She declined. We let her know if she didn't kill the weeds prior to her applying more sand to level yard, the weeds would come back. We also notified Irene to water the grass daily once installed. She called after the job was complete saying we missed a spot. I said ''No Problem''. We went back and added what she wanted and noticed the grass was browning out. We again notified her about watering the grass daily.

Randy and his staff were wonderful and very professional. They worked hard and quickly. Their prices were exceptional (I compared them with 5 other bids that I received and his job even included a sprinkler system and was half the price of the others!). Thank you!

Slow to receive estimate after the onsite estimate inspection. Team worked well together and job was completed to my satisfaction. They didn't waste any time and finished in one day. Cleanup was perfect.
