We were disappointed that this job was subcontracted out with out us being told about it. We should have been told that and given the option to say yes or no. The subcontractor did not show up on time the first and second day. He broke a light shade that was in a set of four custom lights over our kitchen  counter. We are still waiting for the light shade to be replaced, as promised, so we now have three custom light shades and one bare bulb. The island counter is a feature  between our kitchen and family room.
