Performance was perfect. Priced the same as competitors but did the job far better as to technique. Moe Shokri's crew was competent and fast workers. He was prompt and took the time to explain why he did what he said he would do and why it was the superior approach. A good man. Principled

Project: Install or Completely Replace Wood Flooring
A nightmare! During 8 month period (Jan-Aug, 2010) Moe left country w/out notice, closed business location, left no address, stopped phone service, didn't return cell phone messages. I required intervention from franchise hdqters. He wanted full payment PRIOR to project completion on promise of completion later. Had to hire other contractors to complete/repair damages caused by his help. Job performance of sub-contractors lacked professionalism and supervision, and disregard for property. Had to stay on top of workers. Long list of offenses. He gave lame excuses for job performance. Owes me refund for services. Much anxiety experienced.

Dear Mark, you know what you wrote is not true and all the flooring and painting were done to your satisfaction before you paid and you mentioned you had to hire other contractor to finish the joh which is not true. you hired another contractor to install the doors for you which was not part of our contract. Overall very disappointed with the customer service I have received from Moe. It has been 6 weeks since he promised to finish the job and am still waiting on moulding for the cabinet. Have called him and emailed him but either he says that it will "be here next week" or does not return my calls. He was very quick to make the sale-- but after he received his deposit he was less and less accessible. He does not return phone calls. The result is okay-- though he measured the cabinets incorrectly, there is no bullnose trim on backsplash, and he never hooked up the ice maker that I asked him about repeatedly. Do not pay until job completed!

Project: Install or Completely Replace Wood Flooring
We installed wood flooring on the main floor and carpet in the bedrooms. Floor Coverings was a middle of the road cost quote and we felt comfortable with Moe's professionalism and decided to proceed with them. We are happy with the wood flooring, less so with the carpet installation (we can sometimes feel bumps underneath the carpet, probably poor prep work). The installation teams for carpet and wood flooring are different. The quality of the carpet is less than we had hoped, and although we chose it we felt we could have been better advised. The wood flooring looks beautiful and was a good recommendation from Moe.

Project: Refinish Wood Flooring
Excellent customer service-orientation and quality. They flexible about working with other contractors (painters) in sequencing completion of job. They scheduled our job quickly and were easy to work with. The staff who performed the job were courteous and pleasant. We plan to use them again in the future.

Project: Refinish Wood Flooring
This company does a top-notch job. We are in the process of updating my mother's house for resale, and we knew she had existing hardwood floors underneath wall-to-wall carpeting on the main level of the house. The difference is so dramatic, but it's also the quality of the work. I can highly recommend Floor Coverings International/Elegant Floor Service.

Moe and his team were great. The price was good and everything was completed on time. Moe was very responsive when it came to the estimate and any questions I had. I would definitely use Floor Coverings International...too bad not all contractors are this great.

Project: Refinish Wood Flooring
Moe arrived personally to take measurements and give me an estimate. He explained the process, prices and options. They did all the work while I was away from my home. They stained 4 large areas of the floor so I could see which color I liked best. The hardwood floors are almost 40 years old and they look amazing. His prices were on the high side, and the dust cleanup could have been better (on top of ceiling fans, doors, etc). Despite that, I would recommend Floor Coverings International without hesitation.
