Our carpet project is still in process, but so far we've been impressed. John came to our house to give us an estimate. He brought samples for us to choose from and has managed to schedule our install for this week!

They did a good job but had to come back to finish.

John Landrebe , the Senior Design Associate contacted me promptly. He came to give my husband an estimate within a couple of days. He was very nice, pleasant and explained how the work was to be done. He sent us a estimate the next day and in a couple of weeks , we had the new carpet installed. We would definately contact him in the future if we have other home improvements that we would like to have done.

Please BEWARE of this company. Not only were the floor installations botched and butchered, they were then ruined with irremovable glue/adhesive stains everywhere by these incompetents. In addition they damaged the new paint in every room of my condo, broke closet doors, and got paint, glue/adhesive in all my sinks and bathtubs that took days to try and clean. After initially taking as little responsibility as possible other than trying to salvage the floors they ruined, they offered me a meager $700 to repair all the other damage they did to my home. Their answer to the floors they ruined was to use an adhesive remover to remove all the glue/adhesives stains which did absolutely nothing on the hardwood and couldn't be used on the carpets. Once this didn't work they were going to have their workers come in and rub the glue off the floors with their fingers. The nightmare they created just continued to get worse and after all the destruction to my home as well as the floors they put in, they made it clear they would not put in a new floor but would at most try to refinish a floor that was not put in correctly in the first place. Who wants hardwood floors made up of 8-10 pieces of wood, knots everywhere, stains that cannot come out? I am going to build a website and have pictures of their work, the floors they put in wrong and then ruined, the damage to my home, carpets, etc, so no one will ever have to go through the nightmare FCI and it's workers and owner Dave Hogan have put me through. If necessary we will go to court but in the meantime it is my intent to do my best to warn other people about this company as soon as possible and I will keep people posted.

Floor Coverings International stands by its work. We admit we did get glue on the hardwood floors which occasionally happens when gluing hardwood to concrete. We offered to clean it off. He would not allow us into his home to do so. We agreed to pay for any touch ups he felt we did to his walls but we have not heard anything from him. Floor Coverings International has been fully cooperative in resolving this issue. We have contacted him by phone, email, and even meeting with him to resolve this issue and every time we do he has not been cooperative. Please read the other 49 postings to learn who FCI is as we continue to resolve this issue.

Floor Coverings International was good to work with through the estimate process, the installation did not go smoothly at all. I wanted them to come on alternating days, they wanted to come on consecutive days. I relented, but after a failed first day of installation, they conceded to the schedule I wanted. On the first day of installation, the wrong crew showed up, with materials for a different job. They determined that the right crew with the right carpet couldn't make it that day, so the first day was a bust. The next 3 days of installation went well, as far as the carpet goes. I couldn't be more pleased with the work done. The carpets look beautiful. They were on time, clean and fast work, but especially thanks for the furniture moving (they didn't have to do that, but they did and it helped me a lot!) I liked it so much that I wanted to do one more room in my house-they came a couple days later and install the carpet in that room, too! Thank you guys!!

There was a little problem getting the installation scheduled, but otherwise we are very happy with the carpeting--very nicely installed. Work was very professional.
