Project: Build or Replace a Deck or Non-Masonry Porch
UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE&CHILDISH.NO COMMUNICATION, UNABLE TO REACH. SIGNED CONTRACT FOR 16X16 DECK JUNE 3,DEPOSIT $1725.Was told 5 wks for permits. Zoning&Build permits issued July 13 - heard nothing from Fiske.Called, left messages.NOTHING from FISKE. Aug. 9 rec. e-mail- start Aug.15.Next e-mail on 14th, delay for rain-pushed back 2 to Aug. 17. Aug.17-NO FISKE-no show. No Call, no e-mail. I left terse msg on his phone. Got call from angry MIKE FISKE saying he had an emergency &he didn't like my tone-would send dep back.Got check today, -90 for permits & 120 for plans.WHAT PLANS?I never saw them! nEARLY 3 MOS. WASTED-WHILE HE HAD MY MONEY

Project: Build or Replace a Deck or Non-Masonry Porch
My project was to add a porch to the front of my antique house. I quoted the job out to 3 builders and found the prices all to be similar. Although Fiske Construction was very slightly higher I was impressed with the professionalism of the quote and Mike’s understanding of what I was looking for. I showed him a couple of pictures of the style I wanted and he immediately picked up the details that gave the look I wanted. Mike arranged for the permits and began work as soon as they were set. Mike’s work ethic is far better than many these days, he showed up early and worked hard all day, every day. I never felt that my job wasn’t his top priority. I added a couple of features during the construction , Mike gave me a very fair price on the additional work and arranged for the materials required. Mike is more than just a builder, he is a Craftsman. The fit, finish, and quality of the porch is top notch. I have had neighbors and strangers compliment me on what a beautiful porch and how it looks like it has always been there. It’s not an easy task to add to a house built in the early 1800’s and match the quality of workmanship and style for that period but Mike and his team nailed it, I could not be happier or ask for a single change for the entire project. If I need any building projects in the future I will definitely have Fiske Contruction do the work. These days with some pretty questionable contractors out there Mike Fiske is a shining star and a safe bet for any project you may be

We were very satisfied with the construction of our new deck. The end product is beautiful, The builders were professional and we look forward to having another project done by Fiske Company in the future.

Project: Build or Replace a Deck or Non-Masonry Porch
Project: Remove old deck/build new deck. During the process much rot was found on the sun porch from which the old deck was removed (yikes!). Mike and Bill, following the Fiske Construction Motto, “The right way or no way”, restored the porch to better than original condition…new footings, supports, window frames, etc. They were extremely professional in their work; cleaning up scraps and raking the work area at the end of the day. Their attention to detail was evidenced by the comment of one of our neighbors, who, upon seeing the finished deck, exclaimed, “Wow, these guys built this as though they were building this for themselves."

What an amazing job. My wife and I love the deck. I drew up what I wanted and they put it together to perfection AND added in all the little things and details that make it special. I'm going to call Fiske next time I have anything to do that goes outside the DIY scope. Kudos.
