Project: Install a Wood Fence
Overall, I was a little disappointed. For the fence I went with I was told the cost would be $9/ft. and would cover everything, but the final cost reflected just over $12/ft., which is a very significant increase. I was also told that they had the "best warranty around" but received no paperwork outlining the details of the warranty, and didn't even receive a receipt for the work that was done. Finally, I had to finish the fence myself due to a neighbor's fence adjoining with my own and was told that enough fencing was left to finish the job, but the fencing that was left was about 7 ft. short so I had to go buy my own, adding to the cost.

Inferior products used; fence posts do not match; one post is loose; an ornamental tree was destroyed. They were fast and friendly but not very professional; I never received a written estimate or bill.

I called them to cut down a branch of a tree that was on the house. The guy came out and cut the branch. Since I had to pay him just to show up, I had him trim some more of the tree and also one in the back yard. He only charged me a little more. I was quite concerned though about his safety. I didn't think flipflops and no eye protection was a good thing with branchs falling out of a tree he was cutting.

We felt taken advantage of. We felt that they charge too much for the work performed. Felt that the work performed was not up to our expectations. Was disappointed that they were unwilling to come out and rework the project to our satisfaction.

Project: Install Interlocking Pavers for Patios, Walks and Steps
My experience with Donnie and his team was fine. At this point, I would rate them three stars (average) and have no doubt that the rating will increase to four stars (above average) once he comes back to my home on 11 August 2010 to perform a variety of touch-ups and final finishing on the project and begin a new one. 1. Donnie exhibited excellent customer service. 2. Quality/Workmanship: The patio and sidewalk is excellent. The steps and landing needed more design. Donnie will be back to pop out some pavers and replace them with a design. I was impressed at his initiative. 3. I have signed a second contract for 8/11/2010
