Elegant Spaces built us a wonderful sunroom addition to our house. It was our first experience with a home improvement project. Mr. Herb Edwards really took into account our specific needs (we were getting a hot tub) when planning the space. He helped us look at all our options before designing a beautiful sunroom. He was true to his word on timing and quality of work. He was easy to contact during the process. It was great working with him.

Herb met with me, helped me design my deck and made recommendations on how to help it fit my budget. His team came in and knocked out the deck in on day (a crew of four that worked pretty much non-stop) and provided me with a deck that not only met but exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Herb to anyone looking for a first class, well built deck or shed! -Eric

Although there was a small scheduling/communication error at the beginning of this project, we have not had a problem otherwise. He listened to our plan, even saved us a few bucks, and offered suggestions. He spent 2 hours with us on the initial visit! The workers he sent for our project couldn't be more professional! The one guy spent at least 14 hours a day here, often working by himself because the second guy left to work another site! That's some workaholics! There were many nights we had to turn on the lights so he could see to clean up! Although ES was the most expensive estimate we got, it was worth it! You get what you pay for, right!

A long wait for job to get done due to heavy demand, but the work was excellent. Great suggestions, fair price, excellent workmanship.

Herb and his Amish crew built the most beautiful deck. The deck turned out better than my expectations. I would recommend Elegant Spaces for anyone who is thinking of either adding a deck or an addition to your house. The quality of work along with the professional care that was provided during the estimate all the way through to the end to the clean up was outstanding. If I am able to add pictures at the end of this review I will gladly share my extra living space. Quality work at a great price. Highly recommend.

My deck was built by Elegant Spaces,LLC. Both Herb and James Edwads were curtious when I called to make and appointment. When Mr Herb Edwards came, he brought pamphlets and samples of the Azek decking. Having had another bid, I was confident when I made the decision to sign a contract with this company. I went to Elegant Spaces to pick out the cap for the deck and to verify if my siding didn't clash with the Azek decking. Mr. Herb Edwards waited for a mild day to construct the deck, because he didn't want the vinyl to crack. The three workers were excellent craftmen and they built the deck on the premises in one day. While they were working, Mr. Herb Edwards came to oversee their progress and he returned the next day to plug all the holes made my the screws. My husband noticed that the vinyl used for the railing, posts and baluster was thicker than commercial vinyl. We are extremely pleased with our deck and I have already recommended Elegant Spaces LLC. to a friend.

I highly would not recommend Elegant Spaces to anyone. Herb was punctual and a good salesman in the begining. Don't trust Herb to keep his word. We had an Azek deck built and it looks nice from a distance. The deck boards were only installed with 1 screw per joist staggered. Manufacture installation guidelines and the rep recommends 2 screws per joist. The Amish installers ruined a deck board and rather than replace it, they sanded it down to blend it in. 6 of the board ends are split from them screwing the boards too close to the end. Herb said he would take care of this but I have yet to hear from him since his hunting trip.

Herb spoke with this customer a week before this rating was posted on Jan.12,2010.The temp. is currently below freezing and it would be foolish to attempt to repair vinyl decking at this time.The 20'floor boards that are split at one end are in stock to be installed when the spring comes. The Mfg. requires 16"oc joist spacing,this job has 12"oc joist spacing! Fiberon, Timbertech and others suggest the screw pattern used on this deck.Azek is not a lower grade product,they have just not done the testing.Customer was told that the screws would be added in the spring if he wished.Workmanship warranties are always honored. Can't please them all!

Elegant Spaces staff were very courteous and efficient. They came to the house to measure and advised the correct size awning for the space. The install price was good (beat the competition by $100) and they arrived on time to do the installation. They even cleaned up and left the area very tidy. We will definitely call them again for other projects.
